Upgrade to Office 2019 for Mac: If you're a volume licensed customer, you can upgrade to Office 2019 for Mac without uninstalling Office 2016 for Mac. First, you need to download the 2019 version of the Volume License (VL) Serializer from the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC). Double-click the MicrosoftOffice2019VLSerializer (.pkg file) to run the serializer. After the serializer finishes running, you will be asked if the file can be moved to the trash. Note: To activate your Office download, you must have a secure campus network connection.

Note that Office2019 DO NOT support activate via simple copy/paste plist license file which is the simplest way to activate Office 2016.Fortunately, you can also use the VL Serializer tool, just install Office 2019 and Serializer, then run Serializer to activate.
